hagging out by Allister Nelson

I REVEL IN UGLY.

The nipple hair, lurch

of belly apron, sag of

milk mound, pierce of

straw blush thatch over

tired pubis.

29, 29, 29, 32.

Years a jagged edge a pustule

creep, Kiss of Death, Grim’s Secret

Sauce, yank the Reaper’s Bone,

dress your putrid bones and Rubenesque

flesh in unflattering dresses, smear

the war flag pigment on pig face.

The years a yawning maw. Clamoring

call of open grave, worm teeth to tear

apart that stray gray, you will become

Mother, become Death,

it’s hag out

hag out, witch out,

Bony-Legged

Baba Yaga

time.
