Clarabelle Miray Fields

Founder and Editor-in-Chief

Carmina Magazine is mastheaded by Clarabelle Miray Fields, an award-winning, Rhysling-nominated speculative writer from Boulder, Colorado, who fell in love with myth from an early age. She holds a BA in classical languages (summa cum laude, 2018) with an emphasis in Latin poetry and studied in the U.K. as a Fulbright Summer Institute participant, where she took part in archaeological digs and performed artifact preservation in conservation labs. Her own work is frequently inspired by ancient stories, often falling at the intersections of feminism, scifi, and myth. When she isn't working, she likes being active outdoors, and she loves a good cup of dark coffee (or pint of dark beer, depending on the hour).

You can find out more about her and her writing here.
