Preface to the March 2023 Issue

From the desk of the editor
March 17, 2023

Dear all,

As always, it brings me such joy to welcome you all to another iteration of Carmina Magazine. With every passing issue, I am continually amazed and heartened by the interest that readers and contributors have shown for this magazine—that a little passion project that I put together when I was fresh out of undergrad has grown into such a beautiful and supportive community of creatives who are united in the pursuit of a common interest: the celebration of our uniquely different yet resoundingly similiar humanity.

Carmina now regularly reaches upwards of 30,000 hits per month (yes, per month), numbers which made rub my eyes and double- and triple-check to make sure I was reading them right. None of this would have ever been possible without all of you, and, as with every new issue, I want to take a moment to thank all of you for being here. Every reader, every contributor, every supporter. Carmina thrives with the pulse of your blood, the heat of your breath, the magic of your creative spirit. I'm so deeply grateful for all of you, and I'm glad you are here now with us at the beginning of yet another beautiful issue.

In my part of the world (the Midwestern US), where an icy winter still encourages an inward focus, I am sitting down to enjoy this issue with a hot cup of coffee and a full heart. I hope you find wonder and joy in what this issue has to offer. May you be inspired, comforted, and moved by what is within its pages.

Until next time,

Clarabelle Miray Fields
