Preface to the September 2024 Issue

From the desk of the editor
September 21, 2024

Dear all,

Welcome, welcome once again to another issue of Carmina Magazine. It is hard to believe that another six months have already passed, a half turn of the year, new seasons (and a new issue) coming in with the tide.

I think I say it every time in these introductions, but it is with such joy and gratitude that I welcome you all to our newest offering, which features a wide range of work from over forty incredible creators—a feast of poetry, prose, and so much more.

I am ever so heartened and humbled by the support Carmina receives from contributors and readers. We now routinely hit over 30,000 views per issue, and our community here is blossoming in ways I could have never dreamed of. Carmina's growth is entirely thanks to all of you.

I hope that the creative pieces contained within this issue will move you, inspire you, prompt you to feel and consider new ways of feeling. Across cultures, time periods, and other divides, the timelessness of myth is here to remind us that, ultimately, we are more similar than we might think, and there is so much to learn from hearing each other's stories.

Please, come sit by our communal campfire. Let's have a listen.

Until next time,

Clarabelle Miray Fields
